Lori Daniel Rowland Expands Her Business

Lori Daniel Rowland, known all around Richmond for her jewelry line, has now expanded to include W by Worth clothing.  Selling a high end clothing line in addition to Lori’s existing jewelry business makes perfect sense, especially when you learn that Lori also has a background in art and fashion merchandising.

Back in 2003 Lori discovered a passion for making jewelry.  About that same time, Lori’s father  was diagnosed with colon cancer.  Lori’s passion for jewelry quickly became  a creative and therapeutic outlet as Lori stayed by her father’s side during all of his chemo treatments.  As Lori made more and more jewelry, Richmonders began to take notice and instantly there was a high demand for her pieces thus the launch of Lori Daniel Rowland Jewelry.  What started out as a labor of love and time spent distracting and fulfilling special moments with her father quickly grew into a successful jewelry business.

Fast forward to 2014, Lori now sells W by Worth based out of NYC.  Lori holds week long trunk shows in her home four times a year. Yesterday I became acquainted with the W by Worth line and I was extremely impressed with the quality of the clothing and all the items that are available for the business professional, for the stay at home mom, for a girl out on the town,  and everything in between.  You may have heard of Worth clothing before, but W by Worth is a separate line and is often referred to as the younger sister of that collection with prices ranging from $88 –  $400, with a few formal pieces exceeding that.

Renee Innes, Director of Business Development for W by Worth for Virginia and West Virginia, explains that trunk shows work best by appointment, but encourages first time shoppers to come and check out the collection first with no obligation to buy.  W by Worth is the kind of collection that once you see the line and the quality and craftsmanship, you’re sure to be hooked.  The trunk shows are designed to be fun so bring a friend, have a cup of coffee or wine, share some good girl time and outfit yourself all at the same time.  When Lori decided she wanted to sell W by Worth, Renee knew instantly that she was the perfect fit for this high end, in home, personal shopping business.
