Work out Wednesday

Well, here we are two weeks into the fitness challenge and it hasn’t been easy to keep moving as the snow storms continue to hit our hometown.  But, my indoor mini trampoline has come in quite handy and has actually been a lot of fun .  There’s something about jumping that relieves my stress and jumping kind of takes me back to my childhood, which just makes me feel young.   Then there’s the fitness channel where I have found some invigorating work outs and the mix up is good.  And for those 70 degree days that miraculously show up out of nowhere sandwiched in between the snow and ice, a good game of tennis and a walk/run have all  been fun fitness outlets.  It’s been fun hearing your stories and helping each other to stay motivated, so keep the messages coming as fitness goals are always easier to reach with a friend.  Upcoming I’ll be visiting some local fitness studios and filling you in on their fun fitness services.  Do you have a fitness studio that you’d like to recommend?

Finally rounding out the fitness routine, I’ve been experimenting with some tasty smoothies.  I tend to like tart smoothies so here’s one to try

vita mx

1/2 banana, peeled

1/2 green apple with skin

1 thin slice lime with skin(or two)

1/2 medium, peeled orange

1 1/2  cup spinach

2 Tablespoons agave nectar

1  cup ice cubes

Mix in a high test blender (for the skin and seeds) and enjoy this refreshing treat!  My sons’ actually liked it too(now that says a lot coming from two teenage boys).   If you don’t own a heavy duty blender, you may need  to peel the lime and apple.

Cheers(with a smoothie) to everyone in reaching your fitness goals!  Get started!  Stay motivated!  Be Inspired!  Love Life!  Be Awesome!
