As many of you know the creative journey in my life began with painting.  This past week I pulled out the paint brushes and created this piece for my sons’ school auction. Painting always reminds me of how much I truly love art and design.  It forces me to pause, in this ever busy life we live, and reflect upon the joy creative pass times bring, free from the noise of technology.   Painting also takes me back to a time in my life that is full of happy memories.  It reminds me of my sons in their precious toddler days  as I began painting soon after their birth, it reminds me of all the wonderful mediums in the world of Art and Design and there is something very rewarding in creating something beautiful and completing a project that will go on to complete a room, a space, or spark a happy moment for someone else.  I am very excited to announce that I will be showcasing interesting and noteworthy artists in a series I am compiling for M Press Living.  Stay tuned for future posts on artists that will truly inspire you and most likely expand your art collection!
